For Mayor / Por Alcalde:

Brandon Johnson
As a public school teacher, union organizer and Cook County commissioner, Brandon Johnson is the only candidate for mayor who has been on the frontlines of the fights for fully funded public schools, affordable housing, green jobs, and access to mental health care. As mayor, he will advance bold solutions that address the root causes of violence and poverty.

We’re endorsing Carlos to continue our ward’s model of transparent, inclusive, and democratic good governance – which we know is critical to helping our neighbors in need and transforming our city for the better.

In 2023, Chicagoans will elect three people to serve on each local police district council. These district councilors will help provide civilian oversight of the Chicago police and will host monthly meetings to discuss policing and public safety issues.
We have endorsed these candidates because they have been on the frontlines of police reform, and are committed to working collaboratively to address public safety and policing concerns.
