ACTA Strike Fund
The All-Chicago Tenant Alliance is a new organization that encompasses both the Belden Sawyer Tenant Association and Fuerzas Inquilinos de Broadway y Cuyler. They’re currently engaged in a rent strike against their landlord Drew Millard, who bought their buildings and informed them he would be kicking them out.
ACTA is asking for contributions to their strike fund to provide critical support for legal fees and other costs endured throughout their rent strike, and to continue building solidarity among Chicago tenants to defend themselves from the unchecked exploitation and abuse by their landlords.

Anniversary Gala Preparations
We’re just one week away from our 10th Anniversary Gala, and preparations are kicking into high gear.
We’re hosting two different art builds at the 33rd Ward Working Families office: Join us Thursday (tonight!) and/or Friday (tomorrow) to create all of the table decorations, room decorations, props, and swag items for our big party. No need to RSVP or stay the whole time, hop in and out as you’re available!

Retro Night Fundraiser & Networking Event
Hairpin Arts Center is hosting a Retro Night fundraising and networking event for local non-profits this Saturday evening, 4 – 10 PM.
Select the UN35 option at checkout to send a portion of the proceeds to our organization, and meet with other organizers around the city to discuss our shared work and goals. The party will also feature DJ Lugo Rosado, vendors, a photo booth, and more!
