March Membership Meeting

United Neighbors of the Thirty-Fifth Ward will hold its monthly membership meeting on Saturday, March 25, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Frank W. Reilly Elementary School, 3650 W. School St. in Avondale.
The guest speakers will be Tom Tresser and Amara Enyia, authors of Chicago is Not Broke: Funding the City We Deserve. Tom Tresser is a recognized expert on TIFs (Tax Increment Financing) and their impact on the city’s budget, and Amara Enyia of ACE Municipal Partners is an urban affairs consultant and community activist who also ran for Mayor in Chicago’s most recent primary. During the race she proposed that Chicago launch its own public bank and she continues to advocate for similar progressive causes.
